Hi Linz, I'm not sure which version of the Lenovo you are looking at but they all would meet the minimum requirements for your school. A 64 bit processor is usually only found on a much older computer. On another note I could find very little information about Lenovo in general and virtually no user reviews about this particular model. I would make sure to do your research before making a purchase. As I have learned the hard way, it is impossible to do your schoolwork when your laptop is being sent back for repairs every week. If price is a big concern of yours, as it was mine, I would advise that you keep an eye out for Best Buy's sales. Very often, they will mark down laptops for several days! Good luck to you with school and if you do decide to get this laptop it should do what you need it to.
