If you have had trouble getting a job, it is possible that the RMT certification might sway an employer into at least letting you test. It would show that you had the drive and initiative to study for the test and take it, and it would also show that your skills were probably what the employer wanted.

If you've had problems getting hired because national employers don't recognize your school, the RMT credential might be a way around that.

The test-taking experience would also help you with taking an employment test. You'd have more confidence in your own abilities. It might help reduce test-taking anxiety, too.
