really buckle down and bug every company you can find, someone will give you a job. I had contacted a local hospital back in January and they never even replied until June! I am now working weekends for them for $200 a weekend (they are a small 50 bed hospital, some weekends I only have one or two H&Ps)
I started looking six months before I graduated. I did not graduate from Andrews or MTECH or Career Step. Looking back, I wish I had, but I wasn't about to spend that much money to go through what I just went through. I went to a local college and took the courses. Besides that I practiced on my own and did as much research on my own as possible. In the end it paid off.
Network, practice, bug companies, talk to local offices and hospitals, (btw I work at home for the hospital, they set up a remote login so I could do so since "local" for me is still an hour and a half drive!)
You will get there. You will spend a few months frustrated, crying, cussing, praying, crying some more, but when you finally get that "yes" it is so worth it.
Of course then you officially become an MT and find out about all the DRAMA that goes on with this crazy profession. But I won't ruin it for you, there is plenty of time to find out about all of that! :-D
GOOD LUCK!
