this is very good advice. This is a tough career to succeed in without the proper education. Don't do it the hard way. I've been researching schools to change careers and the $4000 that these 2 schools charge is exactly equivalent to what it will cost me to go to a 1-year program at a community college. Get a student loan or whatever you have to do so that you aren't back here in 7 months, all upset because you are having trouble getting that first job, or you got your first job and QA is not happy and your income is inadequate to survive on.
