I happens to all of us, not just new MTs

when it is slow, i pay bills on line, give myself a manicure, brush and *furminate* the dogs and cat, dust, vacuum, unload the dishwasher, load the washing machine.....you get the idea. 

but for a new MT, the other poster had ideas that could actually help your career.  I just do the mundane until the paying work comes in.

Whatever you do, dont just sit and stare at your monitor.  That reminds me of a person I worked with in QA quite a few years ago.....she had to have been doing some illegal recreation because when she came to work one morning she sat and stared at a black screen for at least one hour..had not even turned on the darn computer, just sat there like she was reading reports.  True story!!!

and remember - enjoy the slow times....they don't last for long.
