I took a course and two weeks later got a job working from home. I've been at it for six weeks now and have doubled my pay each two-week pay period. I know I'll top out soon, but the money is pretty good already. More than I made working 40 hours at a newspaper doing editing/graphic design, reporting. (Small town paper.) Also, they mentor me, give me feedback, and I've never been happier. They give me dictation that is commensurate with my (little) experience and if they give me someone I can't understand - I can ask them to send me someone else and take that one back.
Just look around. You'll be fine. Don't listen to the naysayers. They obviously don't know what they're talking about.
