Have you new MTs seen what is going on

I am just curious why anybody would want to get into this profession.  It takes years and years to get up to speed...especially in order to work at  home on your own...all to make $4.00 to $8.00 an hour?  Has recruitors and MTs school been feeding you poor students a line of crap?  If you are young..or if you are stay at home mom thinkin you can "make your own hours and earn a good living" it is absolutely not possible.  There are rigid schedules to be kept and the money is absolutely on par with working at a fast food restaurant.  This profession is difficulty and takes a lot of work to get up to skill...I am really curious..why would anybody try to be an MT now??
