I had the same problem at first and I used to freak out but now even the fast talkers do not seem so bad. I may have to play it back a time or two but most time I can get it. It gets better, you just need to give it time.

Hello,
My main problem is the Doctor's mumbling and talking to fast. All are different and I can't see how a MT can hear some of these guys. I am testing and one of the Doctor's are really flying and mumbling. The other 2 are not as bad but there are places where I CAN NOT hear them and this is where I will fail the test!!!  I can not understand this part of Transcription. I am suppose to hear this. There is nothing wrong with my hearing. I learned in school if you can't hear it flag it. But I have flaged on my other test and of course I did not make it and failed the test. Is it my fault or the Doctors' fault. But it is suppose to be my fault. Does anyone have an answer??? !!!
