DSL

DSL:  High-speed internet that goes through the phone line.  You only need one phone line to have it, so you can have the phone and DSL on one line (this is what the other poster means by filters - when you sign up, you'll get a CD, router, filters, and everything you'll need to get DSL up and running).

If you want to educate yourself about broadband (high-speed internet), DSL, ISDN, cable, or satellite, google it.  There's a load of info out there.
