No, you did not address all the issues...sm Such as... 1. There was a poster below that asked if they already had the foot pedal and software, what, if anything, would you charge them? 2. You did charge my friend for Express Scribe free shareware, and that was the only software she was asked to purchase. When I contacted you regarding employment, you did not ask me to test (which is what legitimate companies do). Instead, you just asked for $99 up front in the form of a money order or reloadable cash card for "shareware" and did not specify what it was. It wasn't until after my friend sent you the money that she discovered it was free shareware. 3. If you do need a new employee to purchase their own software, why can't they purchase it themselves, or have the money taken out of their first paychecks, as other companies do? I know that DocShuttle can be purchased by individuals so they can download and submit files, and individuals can purchase it themselves, and that is what other companies have asked people to do. 4. Why would they need to buy a foot pedal from you? Anyone can purchase one on their own. I am not trying to trash anyone. I am simply wanting to make people aware that there are scammers out there willing to prey on new MTs hungry for work. The real bottom line is, NEVER pay to work. So just be careful out there folks.... So, MTSO, are you going to address the issues Why are you taking the money? New To MTStars Hey! I am a CS student and I am currently in the Editing and Proofreading section.  Boy is it hard .  I am working my way through it.  I will soon be beginning Clinic Notes Transcription.  I can hardly wait . You should have a button where you compose your email to attach files. Click on that and it will take you to a window where you can browse files.  Click on that and select where your file is (desktop, folder, computer, etc.) then open the file you want to attach and your computer will do the rest, very easy once you do it once.  Your computer walks you through it most of the way.

I just learned how to do it myself, all by myself!;)

I googled it and got nothing.  It was a rather generic gmail address, which was another flag.  Well, I emailed them with a few questions about the training (whether it was paid, local and guaranteed employment) and guess I will see. 

Something more promising is available through the job office of the local tech school where I did a certificate - $10/hr (that is good here) for MT, working at home, and grads from the program I took (med coding - though it was not very throrough on the coding end of things) are allowed to apply.  Guess they aren't that picky?  But hey, if it is offered, I will take it!

I am putting in for that tonight via email and see if the job office will refer me to the employer. 

Thanks for your opinion.  If they email back I will let you know what they said.
