Nobody wants people working for them who are dishonest or so incompetent that they don't know that you don't put credentials you don't have after your name. That's a cardinal rule in this business.

You were dishonest and MisLED them.
Employers do prefer not to have dishonest or incompetent peopel around. If you don't even know that it's improper to use credentials you don't have, that's almost, but not quite, as bad as using false credentials on purpose.
Nope, they are not being mislead
Anyone who has a 2-year-old and thinks they are going to be typing while that 2-year-old is looking over their shoulder isn't being mislead by the services. They are misleading themselves. The problem is that those people who come up with those advertisements are almost always corporate people, working in an office, leaving their kids at home. And, almost none of them are transcriptionists...they are marketing people. I can see the reason people believe the ads. But you really need to think it through too. Now, if you have a newborn, you are probably going to be able to work at home with the baby because they sleep a lot and take so little care. You could get your experience before the child gets up around 6 months when they start needing mom to pay more attention to them. So, the ads are true, if you have the perfect situation. But, if you are just starting out with active Toddlers at home and no husband to watch them so you can work, it's going to be really difficult to make any money.
They changed their name from Education Direct to Penn Foster to mislead people ...
when too many people found out what a worthless course it was. She needs to get her money back, and save up enough to take the course at Andrews School or M-TEC.
