I spoke with someone at Medquist about 2 years ago before I started MT school. I asked her what schools she thought were good and she said AHP and MTEC were both good programs and that they had hired from both. I thought AHP had a 3 month course and then a longer one, obviously the longer course would be what to take for better training unless you already had some medical background. I'm taking the 18-month coourse at MTEC now. I think the bigger schools network a lot with MT companies and are able to get their grads jobs moreso than a community college or AHP. That's a big difference. BUT you still have to pass the tests, no matter what shcool you go to! Best of luck to you.
