"offshore"

For purposes of employment and taxes, perhaps you could use your US address and consider your residence in the Caribbean as a second home. You might want to check with a lawyer to see just what your status would be tax-wise, as that might determine whether you are really "offshore" or not. -- If you pursued MTing and got with a company that pays your taxes, it might get tricky without proper documentation to back things up. That would definitely be my first step. If you could afford it, perhaps you could get a residence here and rent it out so that property here would be in your name (if that is not your situation now). The lawyer should know any tricks you could use to your advantage.
