Mean-spirited dictator... (sm)

This is probably something that shouldn't bug me, but for some reason, it really has for a few days now...

I work for one of the big nationals and had one of the dictators make a pretty nasty comment at the end of one of his notes. It was nothing profane or even specific--just a really sarcastic comment about what a "great" job we do. In fact, what made the comment bad was his tone, not even the words that were said.

I know that his comment wasn't directed personally at me, and that the anonymity that we feel working from home works the same way on their end, as well and makes it easy to be rude. However, this has really stuck with me and kind of depressed me for the last few days. Anyone else have something like this happen to them? I'm trying to just have a thick skin, but it's still bothering me.

Are you a medica professional? Are you a psychologist? If the answer is NO, then you don't have any clue what you are talking about. Peope will millions of dollars are depressed. Money does not buy happiness. Don't you get it, this young man is asking for help. He is ALONE. Wow, so glad you are not on the other end of a suicide hotline. This poster seems to be either gifted as he is extremely talented but he obviously has psychological issues that are getting in the way of him acheiving his goals and dreams. To talk to a person in that way is cold and heartless and you should be ashamed of yourself. I pray your children never become depressed. GOD BLESS YOU.

I just gave my hubby an ultimatum - either cut the strings or me and the kids are gone! I couldn't take it any more. Needless to say, he finally cut the strings, and we have been happily married now for 20 years. My MIL was soo mean to our 2 beautiful children, he finally realized we were not going to live with this. Our 2 kids are, get this, afraid of her.

There were many things that led to this - we won't get into that, however, he has not spoken to his family for about 6 years now. I am not sure that is healthy, but we are living in peace and harmony without the chaos, interference and mean people in our lives.

I second that.. That's what makes America so great... vibrant, spirited, even heated debate.
