you choose the character (I chose shift 6 or ^) in "bayscribe word Expander setting" (the popup at I think the default is ALT-F3) ... under the tab "Local configuration" ... in the menus under "hot key categories" .... you will find "set quick find text" ... chose your "icon" and you're ready to insert quick find to your hearts content .... yes, it's a great feature!
