boy. I had never heard this before from any company. I guess it would be a deterent for some people to even apply. It sounds like they want only full-timers, thus the committment to do at least 13,000 lines per pay period, or maybe they want people who will actually work the scheduled time periods and not just work when they want to, instead of what is needed. If that is the case, then I can sort of understand the second fee where if you do not make your promised lines. It would be like a punishment for not doing what you contracted to do. But still, life is not quite so cut and dried. What if something happened, like a death in the family or something. One would be "punished" for something that was beyond their control, I guess. I can see the reasoning behind it, sort of, but I also think it is kind of difficult to have such high expectations of every one, at all times. seems a little "hard nosed," unless I am still not understanding this correctly.
As far as being tax deductible, I would not think so, as it is an unfulfilled contract, per the employer. It would be like getting paid for something you didn't do, which would not be right, but then people cheat on their taxes all the time anyway, so who knows.
