if your cornea is too thin then you're better for the other procedure (PK something). What did they tell you as far as not being able to have it done the first time around? That being said, there is a whole new generation of lasers out there that are better able to handle astigmatism and other issues that were problematic for older LASIK lasers so the first doctor could have been correct (for then) and the second doctor could be correct (for now). I had monovision done and absolutely hated it but I know a very well respected vision center is trialing it now. It just messed up my depth perception (kept slamming my head into doors, misjudging distances, etc.) so I had both eyes fixed to 20/20. Would be interesting to see what others who had monovision think about it...maybe they loved it! My advice is to go with a doctor who has actually performed the procedure (with the laser you are using) many, many, MANY times. Practice makes perfect!

Where the eligible men are
Have you tried any of the online dating services. I look through them all the time, but I've never actually met anone on one. I do know people who date men on them. I look at it this way: Some people are afraid of those, because you dont know who your talking to..I feel the same about any of them, if you meet them in a restaurant or club or online. You still have to sort out if there are any good ones in the bunch and just be careful. Don't give them personal info until you get to know them and always meet in a public area.
She actually has a job, as an IC, and is not eligible, anyway.

You should be eligible for unemployment compensation.
``
not eligible for worker's comp
unless you are an employee. ICs are not eligible for worker's comp or unemployment. ICs are expected to carry their own private disability - like AFLAC, etc. - like we can afford that.
Hate to be a downer, just didn't want you to get your hopes up on that one. Sorry to hear about your wrist. Not a good way to start the year. I would check with local assistance office.
I meant eligible to take the certification. Thanks for pointing out my error.
I didn't express that clearly.
I dont think you have a set time to have had the insurance before your eligible for COBRA
My advice is to apply right now with your local Blue Cross or Blue Shield and get one of those major medical plans ($5000+ deductible) to kick in the second to quit and your other insurance ends. Keep it until you get new insurance with an employer and you wont have a gap in coverage, thus avoid pre-existing waiting periods etc..Getting one of those cheap plans is a A LOT cheaper than COBRA..COBRA's whole thing is trying to discourage you from keeping it..It worked for me. They wanted like $600 a month for me to go on it. No way.. I went to a BC plan and paid $100 a month for a high deductible plan. It's just my opinion, others may feel differently.
I gave 2 weeks because was told if I didn't do that I would not be eligible for rehire in future.
