I have done this before and I do not see what is unfair or unethical about it! Both companies I worked for did not have an hourly requirement, they had a daily requirement, and I could well exceed their required line counts; however, with both jobs, when I took vacation or sick time, and could claim it from both companies, I did not lose as much money by needing a day off. Nobody complained about my production, and nobody complained about my work.
