Classes - Arabic. Stages - Roman. Grades- Arabic. I have these written on a sticky
note beside workstation....then don't have to look up every time.
Nice job. I'm planning to come back here in the future. Table will Table unconditionally: http://

It depends on the kid and the grades where I'm from
I missed around 60 days my junior year of high school, but the school didn't really care because I had good grades. I graduated in 1997, but I think most schools are stricter now. My husband missed about as much school as I did, but he got kicked out because his grades weren't good.
They 'Found' My Grades
The saga continues. After I filed complaints with every agency on the face of the earth, the VLC 'found' my grades. They say they weren't really gone - it was just a techinal glitch - at the same time as the blocked access to their forum and the returned email. And all of these 'technical glitches' occurred the morning after I threw a fit. And now - after almost 5 weeks, they have even offered to really send me a medical dictionary. WOW!! What service!! I'm persuing my complaints until I get full reimbursement and compensation for all the work I completed. And then I'll find an accredited course to continue.
Thanks for all the support,
Dianne

Early stages of agoraphobia?
Do any of you feel that since you have started working at home that you have become a lot more antisocialible and isolated? I have always been a shy person but have never been afraid to go out. Since working at home, which I do love, I never want to leave the house. The only time I go anywhere is on the weekends and that is because my husband is with me. If I have someone with me then I am fine, but I do not want to leave the house alone. I have to force myself to run errands such as going to the bank, post offfice, etc. When I do go out, I just feel like everyone is looking at me. I feel very paranoid and self-conscious and I just cannot wait to get back into the safety of my car and get home. Do I have the early stages of agoraphobia? I know I also suffer from OCD. I wash my hands so many times a day it's crazy. If I cook meat, I have to wash my hands and wipe down my cooking area about a million times. I have a fear of germs. I repeat numbers a lot of times and if I do something to one finger/hand, I have to do it to the other. The OCD does not bother me too bad though because I am so used to it but the not wanting to leave the house thing bugs me. Do any of you feel the same as I do?

I love this idea! I'm in the planning stages of a website... SM
and would love to sell this T-shirts on my website at some point in the future.
I have a friend who is in medical billing, got her coding certification, but can't get a job without actual work experience as a coder. So we've brainstormed and thought we might go into business together. Create a company that offers medical billing and medical transcription and eventually coding services to private practices, hospitals, etc.
I'm also toying with the idea of incorporating some sort of online MT mentoring/education program into the new business venture.
But like I said we are in the planning and brainstorming stages and when I read about this T-shirt idea, I thought it would be a fabulous addition to the website. Because one thing is very certain our business venture will stand firmly against offshoring.
You could set it up as a table.
Format the box where the information is to be typed with a line as the bottom border.
Table in latin...
There is simply no one prevailing characteristic of Mensa members other than high IQ. There are Mensans for whom Mensa provides a sense of family, and others for whom it is a casual social activity. There have been many marriages made in Mensa, but for many people, it is simply a stimulating opportunity for the mind. Most Mensans have a good sense of humor, and they like to talk. And, usually, they have a lot to say.
Mensans range in age from 4 to 94, but most are between 20 and 60. In education they range from preschoolers to high school dropouts to people with multiple doctorates. There are Mensans on welfare and Mensans who are millionaires. As far as occupations, the range is staggering. Mensa has professors and truck drivers, scientists and firefighters, computer programmers and farmers, artists, military people, musicians, laborers, police officers, glassblowers--the diverse list goes on and on. There are famous Mensans and prize-winning Mensans, but there are many whose names you wouldn't know.

or you can set up your information in a table sm
so that things don't move around. Set each cell's attributes so that the cell size won't change and the information would wrap down to the next line if it needed to.
The information you stated above would be in a table with 2 rows across and 4 columns. Patient name would be one cell, @@ would be the next, dob the next, and@@ the final cell in that row. You can even set each cell to be bold, italic, whatever. Make sense?
Good luck!
ants on the table
I have heard that if you have ants and can't get rid of them you also have termites. Hate to scare you, but you might want to hve it checked out to be sure. I worked for us at one place we lived. Good luck, hope it is nothing bad.

put stuff away (yes under duress) but my husband is probably the worst offender in the family....his mom is a clean freak so he never learned to pick up after himself and feels he should not have to. His clothes would still be in boxes if I had not unpacked them after staring at te boxes for a YEAR in our bedroom...I couldn't take it anymore. He won't part with any clothes either so I will get my revenge by donating about 90% of his shirts since he never wears them anyway. Still working hard to train him, trying to get it through his head that he has to clean up after himself so the kids will follow his example. He does put the dishes in the sink for the most part but they have to get into the dishwasher somehow don't they? Hence elves. What I tend to do is pick up shoes, clothes, general straightening up, etc. I do ask them to pick up if they are around and they actually fight over who gets to mop the floor (they both want to)...they are 7 and 5, so the 7-y/o cleans the bathroom sinks, the 5-y/o picks up the toys mostly. Some days though I do it all, just depends. I use the 3-strikes and you are out rule, if I ask them to do something and they fight me on it or don't do it with repeated requests, they lose said item or priviledge for a month. So far they haven't lost anything but they have come close. Haven't worked out all the kinks but we are getting there.
Yes, they can quit their job, go self-employed or IC, and work under the table.
However, the courts aren't stupid. There is a worksheet the judge does based on the past several years' worth of taxes that XX is the amount this person is capable of making, so therefore XIX is their child support amount. It's legal and binding. There's no changing it by trying to scam the system. It is difficult to enforce but that's why our state has deadbeat parent laws. My friend's ex wound up in jail with liens against all of his property for not paying his child support.
Is this for a conference, round-table discussion, or what? nm

No table/column, etc. Just typed list of names
The list is simply typed as
John Smith, M.D.
123 Main Street
Somewhere, USA 12345
I don't even know the specialty unless it's something I have looked up on my own and made my own notes with it. I think she just added each name as she came across it, and (like me) never had a chance (or maybe no desire) to organize it. So, I've done the same, and as I come across new docs, I add them the same way.
I have the desire to organize but I just don't know how except to go name by name/line by line, and I just don't have that much concentrated time to take away from the actual transcribing.
Thanks for your help/and any more help you might have.
Having waitress' say "you guys" every time they approach each and every table.
I still want to know how they really want me to answer when then ask "Are you guys doing okay?" or "How are you guys making out?" ???? Well my relationship with food is personal I guess!

You'll want to convert with 4 columns because you have a paragraph between each address. That paragraph will wind up in the 4th column. When you're done, you can highlight that column and delete it.

MT class
I am wondering about how much transcribing is expected to be done a day. Number of reports, lines or maybe pages. I only have my students two times a week for one hour at a time. I don't want to give them too much or too little. Thank you.
What a class act
I think your line "Shove it where the sun don't shine" says it all. Medquist must be so proud to have you as an employee.
class
If you are classified as a Statutory Employee you can use the deduction. Be very careful. Got to irs.gov pulldown menu self-employed......You don't have to guess. You have to know the square footage of your dwelling, the square footage of the room you use as an office to get a % of what is used for work. Add up all of the utilities, interest, mortage, and multiply the %. That is your deduction. Sch C is probably easier. Home off deduction does you NO good if you have a NOL (net operating loss) from business earnings.
And then there is no class
NM
I also did this. One class from my BA.
I'm weighing my options and may go ahead towards a Master's degree but ultimately, I did so for the same reasons. In 5 years there are going to be so many MTs vying for fewer jobs that it will drive down wages and I'm not going there. So, I'll just learn to do something else.
You said it - in a word - class
The man just does his job (extremely well)and goes home to his family. No stupid hollywood publicity stunts, no games.
The class action against MQ by MTs should be about
forget about Ricca laws and tying it to hospitals and line counts.
They have lied and done smoke and mirrors to the point that there
probably could be a case made for that alone.
And why do we never hear anything more about the SEC case?
And the FBI case against MQ for sending military information over
unsecured lines?
What happened to all that?
We met in a Flirting class!
Class action...
I was involved in several of these suits - most of them with Medquist - and the biggest check I ever got was $3.61.
Once was middle class.
I was going to agree with you at first, but.... There is always food on the table, bills are paid. Have pretty much what I need, but as I get older I care about having a lot less. Certainly not rich, neither of us will be able to retire any time soon, although had we planned better, we might have been able to. So I guess that put's us sort of in the middle, huh?
Hardly. We will always have and need a middle class.
The middle class is supporting everyone. This is a socialistic society.
I work and make money to pay for my stuff.
I work and make money to pay for YOUR stuff.
Believe me, there is a need for a middle class in a society like this one. They're just apprehensive to use the "S" word because it sounds too much like *gasp* Communism!
Yes, we will always NEED a middle class,
but don't think it will ALWAYS be there....just look around you.... Maybe when the rich have to take care of the "working poor" we will see a turn-around, but then again maybe they'll just "forget" them. Don't have much faith in this economy. The poor are being ripped of any programs that existed just a few years ago. By the time the "middle class" hits bottom, there will be no help, no kind of any social programs in existance, just the rich and poor. Which will you be? Yeah, yeah, I'm pessimistic, but also realistic.
Sometimes - and taking a class
Maybe a computer class a little more advance than you are used to or a pick up one of the classes meant for LPNs or RNs (maybe just to sit in), a lecture from someone in the field, etc.
Class of 2006
Who said 0.00 because its just a high school graduation? My middle son just graduated this year and we did give him a huge graduation party with a buffet, cake, ice cream, balloons, napkins imprinted with his name and "Class of 2006" on them, etc. We did the party here in our home on a Sunday afternoon and invited family, close friends and a few teachers he had kept in touch with through the years. Yes, it was his job to earn the diploma and such was expected of him; however, the party was our reward to him for a job well done. He did receive lots of gifts -- some were money, some were things for college, etc. The monetary gifts ranged from $5 to $200. My son was just as grateful for the $5 gifts as he was for the $200 (grandparents). He also received only cards from a few people who attended, and he was still grateful for their sharing his special day. One of the gifts he was most excited about was a gift card to a bookstore. He spent a couple of hours wandering around trying to decide what books he wanted to purchase. Another gift he cherishes to this day is "A Book of Prayers for the Graduate." Don't give more than you can afford. If a card is the best one can do, then its enough because they're acknowledging an accomplishment and milestone in a young adult's life.
