Is anyone out there familiar with DR-PACS integrated dictation system?   Powerscribe tells me it is run by Powerscribe (or uses their SDK?)

Powerscribe

Our hospital implemented the application and the radiologists are using it 100%. No transcription intervention.  The reports are available with 2 hours of the patient having their test performed.

Powerscribe
The huge teaching hospital I USED to work for implemented Powerscribe and we all lost our jobs in radiology.

Our Radiology department just went on-line with Powerscribe voice recognition. It has been a month and the voice recognition is horrible. Editing is giving me migraines. Does it get better???
PowerScribe
Does anyone know about PowerScribe for Radiology?  This account has about 1300 reports daily?
PowerScribe
PS software is new to me. Does anyone know how to retrieve and edit a report once it has been sent? TIA.
PowerScribe

At least I know now that there is a way to reassign it (or something) in PS. Thanks.

I don't even want to know anymore. I think I hate PS.

Powerscribe

Hi,

Just read your post.  Our hospital just started powerscribe.  I have been editing for a couple of weeks now.  Are you still needing to know the function keys?

I did PowerScribe radiology ...

and liked it. But I was also paid hourly at that time, so I don't know how much money I would have made cpl. It does come out very messy, especially with marble-mouth dictator types. It'll probably get better with time... Sure hope so!

Powerscribe editors, can you help? (sm)
I've been offered a job editing via Powerscribe reports. Whatever you can tell me about this platform, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Also, is a per report rate normal for this type of editing? If so, what is a good or standard rate?

Thanks again!
Any Powerscribe editors out there...
...is it possible to make decent money on a per report or per line basis editing PS?  I've used it before (in-house MT) but was paid hourly.  I checked the Archives and it seemed the going rate for PS editing was 0.70 - 0.90/report.  Hmmm...is it worth it?
Powerscribe (Radiology)

Hello,

I have a couple of questions on Powerscribe for Radiology.

(1) How is performance of radiology powerscribe editors measured? Is it by length of reports edited? or by number of reports? or by time spent on editing?

(2) Will someone with no prior transcription experience be able to train directly on Powerscribe editing or will he/she need to learn to transcribe using traditional systems first?

Thanks.

Blue

Anybody have experience using Powerscribe for radiology?
What kind of a platform is it like to work on?
Does anyone know of keyboard functions for Powerscribe for...
start and stop. Using my mouse, want to use keyboard. Thanks!
Wondering: Has anyone used Powerscribe with Instant Text?

Just wondering if anyone has used these two together.  Thanks!

The range is .70 for Powerscribe editing to 1.40 for regular transcription. sm
I did a lot of research on this last year and again this past June, and that seems to be the norm.

0.70 - 0.90 for Powerscribe editing.

1.10 - 1.40 for regular radiology transcription.

I put together rates from 12 different companies, big and small, radiology only, to come up with these.
