I am so sorry for your loss. We had to put our dog down about a month ago. She had cancer. It gets better as you get over the routine you had with her. My youngest son works part-time at the vet's office where we put her down. We both cried shamelessly and the staff did too. She was ready to go, though and my son and I both knew that. It just takes time.
