I'm tempted to bid on it just to tell him that he cannot tell
independent contractors what the pay will be. Otherwise, it's considered employee status if he's setting the rate.
Sometimes I get tempted to..
transcribe all the sounds that I hear, including the conversations where he trashes a patient and/or another doc, or tells dirty jokes in the locker room, etc. When I get told "this is a verbatim account" it's especially tempting. What say we all try it for a while? More pay with all the extra words, maybe even more respect - no I guess not.
I did. I'm just really tempted to NOT give it to him.
I lose money by searching for this information because he can't be bothered to even pronounce it correctly or spell it for me when he's looking right at it in the chart.
I am always so tempted to pretend to buy into it
and string them along thinking they have a catch. Someone did that and once and posted all the emails they had sent back and forth somewhere- they were hysterical.
I am SO tempted to be passive aggressive here.
This darn doctor wants me to send a copy of the report to another physician. "Send a copy of this to foreign doctor's name." No spelling, no address, nothing. I finally find the address by accident just by scrolling through the directory. The doctor has not only badly mispronounced the name, but gave the last name as the first name. I'm really tempted to provide the phonetic spelling as he dictated it and tag it with a noted telling him to verify the spelling and provide the address. Really, how on earth am I supposed to know the doctor's information?
If it were my kid, I'd be very tempted to call off the party....

When they come back to you, I think I'd be tempted to say my rates are a bit higher now. sm
This could happen again next time some cheapo company comes along. Might as well charge for the headache and lost $ in advance.
:D -- I'd be real tempted, since she chooses to dictate
to type the words and/or phrases she breathes in while speaking as well. So something like, 'continue on the same regimen' - spoken on an inhale, should be typed: ' nemiger emas eht no eunitnoc'.
