Is there something wrong with the site or have the storms from Michigan hit the MTstars website?  It seems like I should have more than one alert from this board. Is anybody else having the same trouble? Just wondering and trying to stay dry. (As best I can since Michigan has had 4 days of rain and more forecast).

I am not saying this about all doctor's wives, so please no remarks. It has just been in my experience, when a wife either works in the practice or takes care of the money, you will see this happen. I worked for a dentist who was supposed to have this big incentive plan for all of us if we met certain goals. His wife used that/our money to pay payroll taxes.
I agree. Let his wife do the transcription.

Am I totally wrong on this one. My theory is, we don't do 3x3 cm - We do 3 cm x 3 cm. So I figure we should put spaces? Get it? Opinions?
Any suggestions on how to stay awake and alert w/o No-Doz ? - sm
Got totally dumped on tonight with work--- about 120 minutes between 2 jobs---- would like to get at a good portion of it done tonight but tend to start falling asleep typing at 10 or so these days. Hate pills, especially hate No-Doz, hate coffee too, like capaccino but out right now.......so any quick fixes to staying awake, or should I just work until sleepy and get up after 5 hours of sleep? (i.e. 4 or 5 a.m.). TIA.

Whine alert! 8 cents/line is killing me! :(
I have 17 years experience. I'm an IC, was getting paid 10 and 11 cents a line for the last decade or so. After that work basically dried up, I started looking for more work. No work to be had at at 10 cents a line anymore, rarely find anything even at 9 cents.
Decided to take an 8 cents/line job. Hey, I was gettin' hungry. I swear....I type, type, type, type, seems like all day and all night and still not making the money I need to pay my bills and eat!
I know, I know, people justify 8 cents a line by saying hey if you can do 200 lph, that's $16 an hour. Yeah, that's great for those who aren't used to making up to $30+ an hour for the past 8 to 10 years! Man, I'm soooooooo tired of typing, so burned out, just very unhappy. 
I can see now how some people are happy with MT and some people aren't, just depends on what you've been used to compared to what you get now. Sad.
I really don't have any other skills to do anything else, and I'm dying here as far as finances, killing my hands and other body parts trying to make money at this 8 cents a line...maybe could've done it 15 years ago when I was younger but just not able to type like a demon day and night anymore.
Let it be known that this is the end of my vent. I have no idea what I'm going to do

on lowering the line rate for "editing" now that they have given up the "correction" and put everything under transcription and what does "clerical" mean when you go for line count? also QA and QC. aren't they both the same?
Most companies are wanting a Sunday through
Thursday schedule, Tuesday through Saturday, so you would still be working 5 days, but would always be working 1 w/e day. If you just rotate weekends it depends on the company what days you would have off during the week, whether they would dictate the days you took off or you would be able to choose.
I only saw the first few minutes Sunday night.
It was a repeat. I will try not to give to much away. They were having an affair. She was about to tell him she was pregnant but he told her that they should cool things for awhile, so he doesn't know she is pregnant. Much more happens after this. I don't know if next week's episode is going to be new or not. Let me know if you need more info. I am hooked also.
Just got back from Disney on Sunday
at the Polynesian resort. We stayed there last year. Stayed at Grand Floridian this year (courtesy of in-laws). We had the Disney Dining plan, 1 counter service, 1 table service, and 1 snack per person per day. We found it worked out to be a good deal for us.

11 o'clock p.m. is still Sunday, and third shift
can vary with company, depending on if they are on one coast and you are on another. I have been offered a 3rd shift job, but can start at 9:00 p.m. based on the time differences in our locations.

I got lucky this year. Scheduled off is Sunday. :)
Not so lucky last year. I took on this job knowing that my scheduled work days were just that, holiday or not, and I've never minded.
I do ask for time off well in advance if I want it and the 2 companies I work for have never had a problem.

I usually goof off Saturday (or do very minimal work Friday night and Saturday) and then regret it and have have about 130 minutes to do on Sunday, does not make for a fun day.

Ordered a Dell with XP Sunday night, arrived here Wed morning!
This is my 3rd Dell computer over the years. My current one is more than 5 years old and is just getting a little slow and outdated, so my hubby the computer guru suggested I get a new one before you can no longer find XP. He is still getting it set up for me (I am pretty picky!). Been VERY happy with Dell. Never had a single problem with their computers. My current computer still has lots of life in it, so he is going to use it as a backup for his laptop. BTW, we went right to the Dell website and ordered. Good luck to you! 
I work Friday-Tuesday including 8 hours each Sat and Sunday.
I like it a lot, but don't think I could do three 12-hour days in a row, no matter which days they are. Someone must have done it successfully or they wouldn't be offering it, though, so go for it and Good Luck!
I gotta work on Saturday, but on Sunday I'm going to take the kids to a Renaissance Festival.
And Monday, the kids and I are going boating and to a cook out at the lake with family.
