I've always worked for only one employer at a time, 30+ years now, just 3 companies. I can't imagine working for more than one company at a time. I have only myself to support and have always done okay. I know transcribers who have always had another job on the side to rely on, usually because of medical bills. I'm just very frugal and extremely conscious of where every dime goes. My house will be paid for soon. I've been offered other work but hate to even think about being chained to a keyboard for more than 8 hours a day, 40 hours a week. Hope I never get sick, ha-ha. Not only that, I do my work at night since I love having the days out of doors. No extra for me, thanks.
