I used to have a policy 15 years ago that covered me if I couldn't for any medical reason continue transcribing on a self-employed basis. I'm self-employed and used to have my own health insurance, and the lady who sold me with my health insurance policy also sold me this other policy of which I speak. It covered any medical reason, absolutely anything that would not allow me to make the same income pre-injury/illness as post injury/illness. It was a little expensive, about $125 a month back then. I have no idea how you might find out about such policy ... I've not had it in some years and, if I recall correctly, after I dropped it this particular company decided not to offer it to new insurers. I wish I had never discontinued that policy!!
