JOHN LENNON
Awesome wit, great songwriter, good looking as they come.....ummmm.  I miss him!
John Lennon
John Lennon died in 1980. By that time, the Beatles had parted. Paul was then "Paul McCartney and Wings". Paul is the one who broke up the Beatles. John was the main music writer. ACtually I think John and Paul were each better on their own.
John Lennon
I have always loved John Lennon.  He was my favorite from the first time I saw the Beatles on Ed Sullivan.  I was just a kid but I fell in love with John the minute I saw him.  I remember the day he died so vividly.  I was totally in shock, OMG, blew me away.  I miss John Lennon and his music.
"Woman" (I think that's the name) by John Lennon (nm)

John Lennon was much more than about drugs. NM

John Lennon was a bazillionaire. he had seen it
The only thing left at that point was to eat a placenta.  Look at it from that point of view.
John Lennon did NOT eat a placenta!
As he would say - rubbish.
Today is John Lennon's birthday. He would have been 65.
Another victim of the world's insanity and senseless violence.
John Lennon didn't do extraordinary things?
I'd say forming the Beatles, changing the face of rock music forever as well as fashion and writing a song like Imagine R pretty extraordinary, in my book.
Lennon
I was 33, but I don't remember where I was. It was not a defining moment for my life. Lennon and the rest of the Beatles are vastly, vastly overrated - Paul and John wrote some nice songs, but they have been given way too much publicity and prestige by some people.

It is unfortunate that a young man with a family (Lennon) was killed, but so were thousands of other young men in my generation. I think we miss their contributions to society as much as anything Lennon would have done. After all, with all his wealth and opportunities, he basically just spent his last years as a house husband doing drugs. What did he actually DO?

Remembering December 7th and Pearl Harbor is much more meaningful to me.
John and Paul.
I love them both as a team and separately.  Just think of all the wonderful music we lost out on because of Lennon's death.
Is this right? (location of JR in name): DOE, JOHN JR ? Thanks for your help. NM

Peace to you as well. Isn't that what John

was all about?

He didn't care about the money.  He just wanted everyone to be peaceful and understand that peace, love and kindness to all mankind was all that would matter.

It's a sad world with all of the hate and anger when there is so much to see and do and be thankful for.

I honestly think that John Lennon would have been absolutely mortifed, had he lived long enough to see all of the hate that has made our world crazy.

Like John said, "All we are saying. . . is give peace a chance."

Elton John
RadGuy.. Lucky You. I have seen him in concert. He is absolutely awesome. You won't be disappointed. By the way, I am a late 60s teenager. You will have fun!
Elton John
Are you in for a treat! I'm an old 70's teen too. Saw Elton twice in the 70's in his wild costume days - the first was denim shorts with suspenders and red and white striped knee socks. The second was a Emerald Green Lame' (lamay - not lame) tuxedo. He was awesome, very energetic.

Saw him again 11 years ago on tour with Billy Joel, outfit more toned down, and he didn't jump around as much, but just as awesome.

You've never been to a rock concert? Be prepared for it to be loud!!! My ears used to ring after them when I was younger, not so much any more, but very loud.

Just bought Elton John Chronicles a 3 CD set - has his 70's stuff - Elton John, Tumbleweed Connection, and Madman Across the Water. -- AWESOME set.

Have fun!!!
Elton John...

OMG! He was (hate to use this cliche, but it fits) AWESOME. It was in the beautiful US Bank Arena in Cincinatti - he sang almost ALL his old songs with these fantastic special effects. He just plowed thru all these classic songs without stopping for three hours. Just blew me away - even tho I was in the "nosebleed" section but it wasn't that high up and there was also a huge big screen. Definitely a peak experience. And no one puked on me!

John Mellencamp, 4 sure!

Picks me up whenever I'm down every time!  When I'm already up, it can make me smile!

My husband just started learning how to play guitar about 6 months ago and he can almost play Pink Houses!

The same goes for John and Yoko. They can preach to others
but they are not without sin. Why is it Ok for them to be judgmental of others and tell others how to live?
Elton John just got married...to a MAN!

LOL...Merry Christmas John Boy!

:) Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and very Happy New Year! :)

Can you imagine a "dear John" letter to Ed
Dear ED(erectile dysfunction):

You're a great guy, Ed, but things are just not looking up for our relationship...

John Feehery, Pub pundit, admits

John T is a great disappointment to me. He is bloated and looks like he is about to pop with skin s
A poster below said John T looks like he swallowed the original lean and mean handsome John from Urban Cowboy days. I agree. But it could be worse. He could be bald I guess. Back in the day I could watch his movies over and over especially Saturday Night Fever and Urban Cowboy. Now it's just sad. He seems a characture of his former self. Kind of on his way to Marlon Brando state of aging.
Fitness made simple, John Basedow
it really DOES work
I found it on our style board (DOE, JOHN JR is correct). Thanks! NM
(copied from another person's post) Common mistake that I see very often and of course it is up to your employer's preference but the way it SHOULD be is #2. M.D. is not part of his name, it is a title, so it should come after. This also goes for Jr., Sr., etc. Last name, first name, middle name/initial, then any title. Logically, when you are looking for a patient's chart, for example, you are looking for Doe, then John. Unless you know he is an M.D., you wouldn't know to look under for that. I hope this helps.
Yes, but they are out of stock. Papa John has quit making the

Yes - Elton John just got married to a "Man" whom he has been with for many, many years.
I don't understand why you're shocked! He has been openly "gay" for upteen years & they have lived together for said upteen years! If you knew anything about Elton John, you wouldn't be "shocked." Where have you been ??

You have to be positive about everything. You may have been a "great, dependable worker," but if your attitude "stunk" then honestly, that just doesn't matter. I'm sorry. Been there done that. Know this to be quite true.
John Stossel's new book makes this same claim. Interesting. nm

John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Renee Zellweger

Okay - John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart and Rene Zellweger

Perhaps it is because doctors are tired of the John Edwards "ambulance chasers." sm
Perhaps one of the major reasons docs do not want socialized medicine is because ambulance chasers like John Edwards, Sam Bernstein, and others of their ilk are out for blood when they go after docs in multi-million dollar law suits.

If a doc has to defend himself every time he turns around, of course he's going to order more tests. And the insurance companies that provide malpractice insurance????? They are laughing all the way to the bank.

THE AMA BOOED HIM....

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/06/15/AR2009061501744_2.html?hpid=moreheadlines&sid=ST2009061503337

"Now, I recognize that it will be hard to make some of these changes if doctors feel like they're constantly looking over their shoulders for fear of lawsuits," he said. "I understand some doctors may feel the need to order more tests and treatments to avoid being legally vulnerable. That's a real issue."

But he drew some boos when he warned that he would not give doctors what they most desire.

"I want to be honest with you," he said. "I'm not advocating caps on malpractice awards, which I personally believe can be unfair to people who've been wrongfully harmed."

James Rohack, the incoming AMA president, said physicians must receive some type of legal protection if they are going to be expected to reduce extraneous tests and treatments, as Obama urged.

"Unless we have protection in the courtroom for not ordering a test, we're going to order those additional tests," Rohack told reporters after the speech

Remember John Beck? (the guy who used to play "Mark Graison" on "Dallas").

well that's cute, how'd you do that?
