I'm getting my photography business back up & running but it will be slow. In the meantime I'm working PT as an MT, which is okay. I've been doing some of my nature photos as notecards, & to take advantage of the tourist trade (I live in a ski resort area), yesterday I took them to a buyer at one of the local museum-type stores & am going to start selling them there as well as on Etsy. Handmade stuff is very big right now. I bet we all have craft-type skills we don't think of as marketable but that people would actually pay big bucks for. Quilting? baked stuff? rubber stamps? candles? pottery? scrapbooking? handmade soap? The list is endless. The market might be tanking, but people can always cough up 5 or 10 bucks for a small, beautiful gift.
I'm so burned out on transcription right now. Right now do about 600 lines a day & it's pretty much my max, after years of doing 2-3 times this. The rest of the time I spend taking pictures (this involves slogging around the outback on snowshoes with my camera -- a blast, actually) & printing them up. yippee!
I wish you all your own personal TICKET out of the biz, to whatever destination you desire.
