I was in exactly the same position not too long ago, fearing to leave a secure, hourly, in-house job to work at home. Even without the benefits, I have never regretted it for a minute. I love the freedom, flexibility and time with my kids. Sometimes a little computer down time is just long enough to have a tea party with teddy bears and dollies. Can't do that at the water cooler. :)
