Thanks for the replies, I guess I will keep trying. I do realize I would be a little rusty, especially with operative reports. I will keep looking and maybe someone will take me on. I like the company I am working with, no weekends unless I want to, no holidays but the work is not steady and the pay is substandard.

Just plugging in should work...
There are usually a few input holes both in front of PC and in back...tell her to try them all, some don't work. ;)
Try unplugging and then plugging it in again. If that does
not work, try rebooting.
I think they're plugging a site - see the url in the sig. nm

First try unplugging it and then plugging it back in. If that
doesn't work, reboot your computer and see if that helps. I don't use DQS but a couple of times a year my foot pedal just stops working. I reboot and it always fixes it.
You don't say what the order of plugging/unplugging was.
I know that in the past this has created a problem for me. I have had to reset my modem a few times but, more often, the problem was with the router. Simply unplugging my router (while the cable was connected to it) to reset it has solved that problem.
for voice files on computer, try plugging
your headset directly into the computer where the speakers normally go and see if that helps. Also, you can get a volume amplifier for this. It sure helped me.
be careful - I *heard* that plugging into 'puter...
Try plugging into the jack in the back of the tower. Do you get noise w/

Plan on plugging in a regular keyboard and mouse to work on. Much more efficient than trying to use
