ixnay on fiberglass - sm

it tends to heave out of the ground with hard freezes which you will have in PA; they are mostly southern pools. Gunnite (concrete) is expensive - $30K and up - concrete can stain and if you are not really careful with the initial smooth scrub you will have rough spots that can scratch skin. Vinyl liner pools are less expensive $18-30K; vinyl is smooth on the skin but you have to replace it every so often and it can scratch (bad with girls wearing earrings, etc.). We have vinyl; neighbors have gunnite. Both have pros and cons; ours is 5 years old and we love it. Check out poolforum.com - lots and LOTS of helpful info. And you CAN dicker on prices!
