Do I need a prescription for either one?

Insomnia
Yes, it's been a problem for about 10 years for me - ever since I started working at home.

I take OTC generic Benadryl - 25 or 50 mg when I need help sleeping. It usually works. In my case, I think the insomnia is more related to my menopause than work.

I am definitely going to try the melatonin.  Thanks

Last night I couldn't sleep during the night.  As one person suggested, don't lay there, get up and do something and so I did a little more of transcribing and then I took 2 tsp of honey and it helped me fall back to sleep.  So tonight I am going to put the honey in some warm milk.  I heard that helps.  Hopefully I won't get up at all until the morning.

That is exactly what I tried last night, but should have done it sooner, it was great, but I waited until 5 a.m., which helped.  Tonight I put it in warm milk, maybe I won't get up at all until the morning.  Thanks for that suggestion.

have struggled with this on and off for years. what seems to work most of the time is the following: 500 mg GABA, 0.125 mg alprazolam, and recently adding Hyland's Calms Forte 1 or 2 of these. I thought homeopathy was a lot of hooey until trying these things. They are cheap enough about $4 at Wally World and may be worth a try. they don't have any interactions with other drugs or supplements that I know of. Lots of luck to all of you on finding something that works, it's not the same thing for all of us. The honey is interesting, if present regimen fails will give that a try.
