probably at least 5 years. In 3 years you are just "getting it," (IMO). I always say I still learn something new on most days. I thought I knew all there was to know when I first completed the MT course, but boy, did I see how wrong I was. First of all, it was hard as heck to find work, but I was fortunate enough to know someone who knew someone who helped me get my foot in the door. Been doing it ever since. I wanted to do it when I was pregnant with my last child. I worked outside the home, but decided, if I could swing it, I really wanted to work at home, so did the MT course. Haven't regretted it, not one bit, but it did take me years to become refined and, like I said, I'm still refining! You get better with time and experience!!! At first I typed practically 24/7, just to get good at it. I say, if you love it, you love it, if you don't, then you probably won't do well with it.
