As usual, everyone is hyper-sensitive and cannot just take what you offer at face value, realizing there are MANY who do not know some of these basics. Instead, they nit-pick-pick-pick.
Please keep your great attitude and continue to inform!!

I applaud you
for making this decision. IMHO the reason the MT business is in the mess it is in today is that if you quit (or I quit) there is always another person standing in line ready to be thankful that they have a job "working at home." Personally I would refuse to be thankful for a job that required me to work my arse off for minimum wage and as for stealing lines, I wouldn't put up with that 15 minutes. I will say that some of the complaints regarding SS line counter being "down," that happened at MQ too. However, just as they said, the line counter came back up and it was correct. That had nothing to do with why I left. I don't really worry about an EXACT line count. I know what I type and no matter where I work, that count had better be consistently in the ball park. If it isn't, I'm going to be doing something other than postings warning others to stay away.
I applaud you!
I think that is great you sit with your daughter while on line. Oprah just had a show about child prostitution through the internet and a huge amount of people are involved apparently. Some were kids you would least expect, straight A students, etc. Where are the other parents and how do they allow their children to have free rein? Oh, I know! *I trust my kid to do the right thing*! Right? Well, don't.
I applaud your enthusiasm, and.....
as much as some would poo poo your idea, lets remember, the AAMT had to start somewhere....nobody knew of such a thing until THEY made up the rules, made up the big ole fee, convinced everyone they knew what they were talking about and how to transcribe better than those of us who actually do it, and still, somehow, they managed to convince so many they were the association to belong to and sooo many fell for it, and look where they are today, sucking up to overseas......how sad is that?
I applaud your post on Elisabeth!!...nm
