No offense, but where in the world did you get the impression that America humanely slaughters our animals for food? If you think that you need to do some research. As the Paul McCartney song goes, if all slaughter houses had glass walls, I bet a lot of people wouldn't eat animal flesh.

They ought to ship a video of the baby seal slaughter with every piece of seal skin attire they sell.

And don't forget to catch a glimpse of the seal mothers going nearly insane with fear and pain as they watch their babies being clubbed to death in front of them.

Please write to the Canadian prime minister (or whatever they call the leader of that sick country) to express your outrage. That is, if you feel any at all.

and if they didn't do it for sport, then you would have to slaughter them too.

I think the contraversy about this hunt is the way it is done. Many people in the US deer hunt, only it isn't seen as cruel since they use a gun or bow. Maybe if the Canadians changed their way of going about their horrific seal hunt it wouldn't be seen as so cruel? Just a suggestion! And, I think the before poster was wrong stating that animals do not have human feelings........did you see The March of the Penguins? Mothers who lost their own tried to steal others and felt quite sad and heart-broken! I guess we truly do not know, but part of me thinks they feel just like we do when it comes to loving and protecting your young. :)
