I am a home-based MT and have always found it difficult to deal with interruptions. For the most part, I do not have a problem with phone calls or e-mails or faxes. I do, however, find it hard to deal with trying to work in my work when I have company. My office is in the corner of the dining room which can be partially closed off but still....I don't have company often but often enough that it affects my overall income so it does concern me. The visitors know what I do for a living but still decide to visit whether its convenient or not. I don't feel like I want to say no every time but I still would like to be able to work a bit on the days when they are here. For example, when hubby's family is here, I would like to be able to get up early and work and when his relatives get up he can handle things for awhile. The last time I tried this everyone got up early. I felt rather resentful. I have had other instances where I was kept from my work too. I have listed the pros and cons of moving my office and have decided to keep it where it is for a variety of reasons. Any suggestions? Thanks.

MT with no boundaries
It sounds to me that this MT is just immature. What's the point with that? Very unprofessional. I think maybe that employee needs a job outside to get more attention. I don't think any company name should be used that does not relate to our field directly. This MT definitely crossed the line in my opinion. If she worked for me I would insist the company name be removed.
How about No Boundaries on Reality TV
Kinda like Survivor only its on every night at 9 through the end of the race. About half way through now.
since he that dependent on you, why don't you set some boundaries?
just like with kids.
That is tragic. I can't even imagine. You are right, they don't know their boundaries...
and one of my greatest fears is something like that happening. Fortunately, we have no standing water like that around here. I think the very worst that can happen are stray dogs attacking our children since we live in the country. I can only pray my dogs would defend and get in the way of them/us before then...but that would be tragic also!
You just never know.
I was heartbroken to the core last year when an 8 year old was accidentally run over by his mother's mini van while playing on a driveway with a hill. The car went out of gear. I just sobbed like a baby for those parents and siblings..
The dangers are very real and something I don't like to think about...
Y'all are right. I am not setting up the boundaries myself! Thanks!
