Use underware instead of pullups when your at home. This will give him the sense of being wet and will learn to control his bladder. Though, I still use pullups during the night and when we go out for the first few weeks.
After every drink have him pee after 30 mins. Then make it consistent like every 2 hrs go with him in the restroom and let him pee. Don't forget to ask him to tell you that he needs to use the bathroom. Be patient during the first few weeks, he would really mess up your carpet. Even if he pee on his pants, go with him in the restroom and show him where to go when he needs to pee.
Before he goes to bed at night have him pee. Sometimes at the middle of the night, I would carry my son to the bathroom and have him pee even if he is asleep : ) In a week or two, I stopped using pullups at night and he never pee on bed.
When he knows how to control his bladder at home you may stop using pullups also when you go out. don't worry, he would tell you when he needs to go to the restroom.
