This is good news. I have been recently burned by Spheris, am being interviewed by Medquist, but want to go to a SAFE company where an honest day's work receives an honest day's pay. Is this what EMTS will be like? Honest pay and SAFE with benefits as promised? I have 3 kids and over 20 years experience in the industry. No kidding. I am not asking for Nirvana. Just something fair for my years of expertise. Can anybody help me here? Is EMTS okay? What about medquist? Any other suggestions?

I worked for MQ for over 20 years. I started with eMTS in January. I like them. I get paid for a 74 character line. This makes a big difference though from 65 character lines.
As for benefits I am a single mother with 2 kids and they are quite expensive for us but available.

Thanks for your advice. I took it! I am there and extremely happy. I posted another reply on the company board, and I will say the same thing here. EMTS has restored my faith in transcription. I am not afraid to pay the bills due now. They pay downtime, benefits, provide work, a caring and RESPECTFUL atmosphere. They are the true company of days of old. Where an employee is not a number but a person who is an integral part of the transcription process. I highly recommend EMTS to everyone reading this board. And thanks for your advice. It is highly appreciated.
