Crock pot recipe with milk
Months ago there was a recipe for something and onions and milk -- It wasn't chicken but that's what I substituted and it was awesome.  I can't find the recipe.  If the original poster will reproduce it, I won't lose it again -- promise!!!
anyone have a good crock pot chicken recipe?

Anyone want to share their favorite crock pot recipe?

Put it in the crockpot and forget about it. It's a pan recipe but can be done in the crock pot ju

Yep, google has it goin on... I really like the google earth...
Have you tried Google earth? You can type in any address, street, city, state, country, etc. and it will zoom in and show the area and then you can hit the + button and zoom right in and see the exact house, building, etc. that you are looking for.
Mainly Google; I google the known words in the phrase (sm)
That's my most frequent tactic if I don't find the word in my word books. I'll play with leaving certain words out and adding them in, in various combinations, to try to get a hit that has a word which sounds like my blank. If I get a hit, I'll Google WITH that word, and see what hits I get, and what their source is (i.e.,checking the sources out for reliability). When I say 5 sites or searches, I mean I don't often try more than 5 different combinations without a serious hit. If I get a hit, then I will spend a little more time checking that out before I give up.

If it's a drug name, I use RxList, or more frequently the Drugs.com website. Since they redid RxList, I haven't found one that has quite as good a wildcard search, but Drugs.com works okay most of the time.

If it's a place name (like when they give names of outlying outreach clinics and etc.) I'll use Mapquest and look up the city my hospital is in, then "pan out" and look at the outlying towns.

Hope that's what you're looking for. I do have bookmarks, but I find that even the ones I think I'll visit again, I waste more time doing that than with an intelligent google search. An example is the time I was looking for "banana bag." The only place I managed to find it with a degree of reliability was on a nurses' message board. I've found quite a bit sometimes on the various specialty message boards out there, but I think the quickest way to locate that is through a search engine rather than bookmarking each individual site and trying to figure out which ones to search for a particular term.
crock
I had a crock years ago, that was a 'crock'. So, I've never replaced it. I know lots of people who love theirs, and am starting to think about getting one. I need a small one (I'm single and have a roomie, and we're neither one very big eaters). If anyone has any ideas, feel free to forward them (I don't need a shrink - they've already thrown me back, but other suggestions are welcome hehe)
crock pot
I have used them twice, what a blessing!
ask her specifics; she needs to tell you
if she asked you when you were getting DSL, it indicates she wants you to produce more lines, sounds like. Many of us employees of transcription companies pay our own DSL. Check with inhouse MTs. Maybe they are producing more.
Specifics
Sorry - I forgot to mention I have the PostureFit Aeron chair by Herman Miller.  I checked out E-bay and took a couple of months to bid on a few until I could get one for the lowest price possible - which at the time was about $500.  I know it's pricey, and at first I was disappointed because I thought I paid too much (I have to admit I'm cheap), but now I believe it was worth it.  I'm just glad I didn't get rid of it right away without using it for a while!  Hope you find one that works for you!
It is definitely a crock and a rip off....
xx
Not just them either........BOS - what a crock!!!
xx
Any specifics on how to do that?
Any way to re-learn to listen ahead? It all comes so automatic (the way I do it now). Also, it seems like I would have to slow the recording down too.
What a crock!.....nm
nm
Specifics, please....
Do you use a lot of self-made normals? I've been lucky this week and have gotten a lot of ops. I managed to post 221 LPH my last shift worked, but I also got the you-know-what scared out of me awhile back (vicariously) when my CCM called a conference call to explain that using cut-and-paste Expanders from specific dictators previously dictated reports was not allowed, so I've never done that. In fact, the thought hadn't occurred to me to try that until the conference call, LOL! (Amazing what ideas you get from somebody ELSE getting in trouble....)

Anyway, I'm pretty fast at ops, and consider them my favorite work-type, but even on a complete night of them on a primary account, 221 LPH was the result.

Suggestions?
BOS is a crock!

The only reason the AAMT (or whatever they call themselves now) changes the BOS is to make money-- plain and simple!  They think by changing commas, abbreviations, etc., they can call the previous BOS "outdated", so of course you have to spend money on buying a new one.  The AAMT was ALWAYS about making money for themselves in any way possible instead of sticking up for the MTs that are supposed to keep up with all these changes while our paychecks get smaller every year.  They want to certify foreigner MTs just so they can keep the money coming in.  I dropped my CMT a long time ago because they kept changing the requirements for the CEs and I got tired of paying their ridiculous dues when they had done absolutely nothing for me in the 20 years I was certified.  Who says the BOS is the "bible" of transcription anyway?  Who died and left the power-hungry women of AAMT in charge anyway?

specifics have not been announced yet.

The whole thing is a crock!

crock pot stuff, one more
This is something I made when my kids were growing up. SO EASY! A blade pot roast is what I always used. Put IN crockpot...sprinkle on a package of taco seasoning mix, NO LIQUIDS. Cook eight to 10 hours. Shred meat and serve on tortillas, put out chopped onions, chopped green chili peppers, avacado, chopped tomato, actually anything the kids like...let them make their own soft tacos. Enjoy.
cooking in crock pot right now
Either beef stew meat OR a chuck, whatever.  One can cream of celery, one can cream of mushroom and one can french onion.  Don't have do do a thing.  Delicious
This is a crock - here are the facts about IQ

Okay, here are the facts for those who care (like me).

There are many standardized IQ  tests.  Some only go to 140.  Some tests can go up to 180.  So basically it depends on what IQ test was given just how relatively smart these people are.  I seriously doubt any of these folks actually published something as personal as an IQ score and even if they did, I would question the validity.   You cannot make a blanket statement when comparing IQs.  One more time (for those who didn't read my last post) -- think about high IQs like this -- it is simply processing speed, just like your computer.  Many IQ tests are auditory memory and/or processing skills -- i.e. you have $1.75 and three of the coins are dimes -- what are the other coins and how many of each. ..that type of thing.  I stress that while IQ is important -- what is more important are other qualities such as character, learning from experience, attitude, resiliency, etc.    I would also add that unfortunately research shows neurocognitive diseases such AD, etc. are very unkind to the extremely intelligent.

I have been a member of American Mensa for years....and find it to be a very valuable wealth of information -- ESPECIALLY  in regard to the testing and studies they have done on gifted children.  Very interesting research and publishing in their magazines of information on smart kiddos (like yours I am sure.)

: I left Houston and moved to Chicago increasing the average IQ of both places :)

AND if you are going to dis MENSA -- there is another organization called Intertel of which I am also a member whose IQ requirement is 99.9.   What we actually do is covert -- but I am at last relieved that they can no longer harvest my eggs :)

Other crock pot food -
I have done a lasagna that turned out pretty good, I sometimes throw in some boneless skinless chicken breasts with some homemade BBQ sauce, have done chicken and dumplings which was good, spaghetti sauce. I would actually love some new recipes. The crock pot is so handy - I like to just throw stuff in and forget about it. My husband also works late a lot so he just lets me know when he is on the way and I can just throw on some veggies to go with whatever is in the crock pot.
You need to give more specifics for any really
helpful answers. Are you an IC? Is it a private client and some unknown person is changing your reports? Do you work inhouse and have some other processing of your reports? Do you work for a national, and think QA is altering your reports? I know lots of MTs accuse QA of removing sentences, etc., when, in reality, the MTs never heard what they thought they heard to start with! One error in mid sentence and then 3 sentences incorrect! QA often has to go in and retype sections, while the MT accuses QA of being lazy or some other such charge. Can't really think of why someone would want to change your reports - are you thinking you are being set up or something? Please provide more details if you need more help!
What a crock! They don't really care what MTs
Their goal is to change the organization so it is open to IT professionals, vendors and others in order to gain larger membership numbers.  The staff and leaders have realized the organization has such a lowsy reputation with MTs that we're not going to join and they've given up on us.  They are not a professional organization for professionals.  They consider themselves a professional organization for the finished product of the profession (the healthcare record), not for the workers they were incorporated to support.  Any list will be totally useless to them.  They've simply assigned you busy work that they don't really care about.
Don't know specifics about account.
The setup and all that is exactly what I am clueless about. I know nothing about what type of service physician would want yet, but he mentioned to my husband that he might be interested in getting me to do work for him or may try to get me on at hospital he primarily works in. He asked my husband what I charged and my husband told him he wasn't sure. The physician automatically said "15 to 20 cents a line". That is more than I am making now and is very tempting.
How come you provide no specifics?
Too busy to spend a few minutes typing information that would benefit other people, when obviously you benefit from this bulletin board by reading it and even responding? This website is criticized by people for being overly negative and when people make such harsh comments without having anything to base it on, it makes the poster look suspicious. If you have any facts (or even impressions) to support your claim, please give them. If you don't, why make such strong statements?

Our account specifics say
We have recently been told to type the patient's name if doctor dictates it in the report. I also thought that was against HIPPA.
Want specifics from posters
Let me clarify: I wanted to hear specifics from the experiences of those MTSOs that participate posting on this site.
I would do what you think looks the best if you're not given any specifics.
They will certainly tell you to make a change if they don't like it. In this case, no news is good news.

This whole organization is a crock
Someone has to pay for all their travel, first class all the way.

I am still shaking my head i amazement about the one biggie in the organization who got his CMT with only 1 year of at home training doing office notes - no hospital experience, etc. This shows how truly worthless the whole certification process is. Credentialing should reflect adequate training in all areas of the profession, and it certainly degrades the title if someone was able to get certified by doing doctor office/clinic notes.

Are there no "account specifics" in QA?-
First let me say this is not my being "sensitive" to having mistakes pointed out, if I make a mistake I want to know so I do not make it again. BUT, it is absolutely so frustrating when the QA people are not consistent with each other and make corrections on their personal preferences. For example, one tells you you made a mistake by formating this way, you change it, someone else QAs it and they say its wrong and to do it another way! You question this and are told to follow the account specifics, which is what you did to start with! I am truly curious to know if the QA people are brought together and given the same account specifics the MTs are. Honestly, from what I am seeing it is a "to each his/her own" and they are free to make whatever corrections they deem necessary and are given the freedom to change things we were told not to, then we get ganked for it! It also varies greatly between the day shift QAs and the night shift QAs. I have come across a few wonderful QAs in my time who were great and from who you could learn a lot. Unfortunately, there have only been a few.
If you are not given specifics for your test...sm
just type it as you learned it in school!

HISTORY OF PRESENT ILLNESS:

And it is

The newest form is to type 'at bedtime', as h.s. is a dangerous abbreviation.

lemon crock pot chicken

21/2 # chicken, cut up, 1/4 cup flour, 2 T cooking oil, 1 6 oz frozen lemonade,

thawed. 3 T brown sugar, 3 T catsup, 1 T vinegard, 2 T cold water, 2 T cornstarch. Combine flour with 1-1/4 tsp. salt. Coat chicken and brown thoroughly in hot oil. Place in crock pot. Return chicken to crock pot and cover to keep warm. Skim fat from liquid. Blend cold water into cornstarch and stir into hot liquid. Cook, stirring until thickened and bubbly. Serve chicken with gravy over hot cooked rice, noodles, or whatever you like.

"Happy MQer" What a crock!

I totally agree with MQMT2 about how you should "spend" your check.

True. Specifics, especially "different" ones
I have an account whose specifics break just about every style rule known to MT. Had they waited to break all this to me in hard copy after transcribing it the "right" way, I would be seriously confused.
40 clove chicken in the crock pot
Boy would I (and I am sure lots of us) love to have that recipe for 40 clove garlic chicken in the crock pot.  My mouth is watering.  hope it was good.
40 clove chicken in the crock pot
Big thank you....I can smell it now...tutu
I could see if she posted account specifics, etc., BUT
I definitely don't see the big deal about saying what hospital you will type on. Some people are way too sensitive and look for something to complain about, but that's just my personal opinion.
what a crock, using lies on your kids like that
you are an unscrupulous mt/mtso

thanks for the tip, but as stated, our specifics say double. nm
;
When account specifics does not cover

I usually refer to BOS and it states to add the year if not stated -  if you are sure of the year.  Also - interestingly enough - it says if you are doing long dictation and doc says labs done on April 4, 2006 are.........and then says additonal labs 4/5.... okay to used slashed date - this is on page 121 of BOS edition 2 if you are interested.   That being said don't think you would be WRONG to leave off the year if it is verbatim account :))

do you follow an Account Specifics?
nm
I would read the specifics on that account and do it that way. sm
Sometimes QA gets things backwards, doesn't understand the rules, etc. Make sure you're doing it the way the account wants and ignore incorrect feedback.

If your account specifics don't address it, get a definitive answer from the account manager.

Once you get that definitive answer, it might be wise to have the account manager inform QA of the correct format.
It also depends on your account specifics too...
if it is verbatim, you type what they say...
I think that would just be preferential or maybe account specifics for the doc. sm
I think you are asking whether the "before" or "after" makes a difference. Not that I know of at all, I think it is all preferential in the way they are dictating unless his clinic/hospital requests it that way. The code is the code and is used for billing, makes no difference where in the diagnoses it is other than in order like primary diagnosis, secondary diagnosis, etc. Makes is so much easier on the coders when they give codes rather than second guessing them as some can be very confusing.
whatever the account specifics are, is how you to have type it...
regardless of whether or not you agree with it...just how some companies/accounts are...
