could be right

t $800 per month that is only 9,600 per year and that could be correct as when the make up the tax charts they assume that is your entire income for the year.  Taxes on 9600 after your personal deduction is not much if anything.  It only becomes more when you add it to another income.   So you may need to ask that an additional 20 per pay period be withheld.  That is what I did when I was part-time employee while still doing my MTSO and that way I had all my taxes witheld for what I made both as an employee and my business.  But when I was making $400 per week or close to $800 per two weeks only about $25 would have normally be withheld for taxes but I asked for an additional amount to be witheld.  Just checked one old paycheck stub and when I made $250 in a week, only 8.14 was withheld for Federal taxes and I was single 0.  So you might double check but they could be right.
