line rate for TransHealth - sm
When I was offered a job about 6-8 months ago, it was 8 -8.5 cpl for the worst ESL accounts you can imagine, and the platform is just as bad. Didn't stay more than a day with them. Good luck.
Radiology rate ?

Been offered a radiology account -- what is reasonable rate?  They are paying 1.40 per report at this time, but will pay line rate if I want.   Seems a flat rate would be better on some days, worse on others, but would even out in the end.  Any suggestions?  (no ESL dictators on this account if that makes a difference - all digital, net based, no cost to me). Thanks and appreciate any input.

Radiology rate - sm
If you get $1.40 per report with no ESL and all the other things you stated, TAKE IT!! and please tell me who offered this?  I'm only getting $1.15 per report.   It does all even out in the end with long and short reports though.  Good luck, and pass on who offered this please?
rate of pay for radiology

Currently working for small MTSO.  She pays $1.25 per page for diagnostic reports, regular x-rays.   Anywhere from $1.75 to $2.25 for CT or MRIs depending on the account and ease of use of the software

Radiology report rate
Before taking a radiology transcription position with a transcription company, I searched the archives to see if I could find an average rate per report for radiology. I found all kinds of rates that are being paid, but I thought that $1.40 per report was probably the average. The rate I accepted was $1.10 per report.

I have 24 years of experience in many different specialties. About half of my experience has been in acute care and the other half in radiology.

So far with this new job I have realized that about half of the dictators are OK while a couple of the ESLs take their voice away from the Dictaphone, especially at the ends of sentences. I spend time listening over and over to get those last two words! I've been wondering if I sold myself short.

I'd love to hear opinions from other MTs regarding radiology rates per report, with experience, yet new to company. I would also be grateful for any advice about the dictators who move away from the recorder (or loudly flip films during their dictation).

TIA

What is a good line rate for radiology?
Currently being paid by report, 10 years experience. TIA
What's considered a decent line rate for radiology?

Radiology transcription, what type of reports are considered radiology
I have lot of experience with everything and I would like to know what exactly is considered radiology so I know if I qualify for that type of work?  I've had many types that I think qualify for radiology.
sure I went to Transhealth
if you have yahoo messenger, just message me
my nic is kindcatt

or email that name.
TransHealth
Anyone with experience with TransHealth.  Good/bad?
transhealth
Is this a good company to work for?  Please, any info?
TransHealth - sm
My experience - horrible ESL, sound quality, and nonproductive platform. Took forever to get INTO the report to even start typing it. My opinion only.
TransHealth
Does anyone have any input (good or bad) regarding working QA for TransHealth?
TransHealth

Anybody with comments with regards to TransHealth.  Thanks in advance.

Nothing at TransHealth..oh well! At least
d
Any info on TransHealth

I am considering a position with this company and would appreciate any info you might have.  Thanks.

any info on TransHealth

Any info on TransHealth would be appreciated.  I am considering accepting a position with them.

Thanks.

TransHealth doesn't. nm

Anyone in CA have insurance through TransHealth?
I would like to know who the carrier is - Blue Cross or Blue Shield? Still waiting on my new employee packet...
Expanders for TransHealth
Can anyone tell me what Expanders work with TransHealth - or alternatively which ones don't?

I know that TransHealth suggested Shorthand, but I wondered if there were any other options?
I believe TransHealth is hiring.

Transhealth, pay periods end on SM
15 and last day of month, you are paid 22nd and 7th, they don't hold a check back.
Not Transhealth. They use Chartmatrix nm
..
TransHealth was just bought by
Webmedx and I would choose Webmedx over Spheris.  The feedback is mixed on both companies, but there is a lot more negative on Spheris.
Transhealth pays for holiday pay
You have to work if it falls on your day but you have the option of asking off. You get holiday pay (if you are off as well) plus you get your line count that day.
TransHealth does not off shore, they hire all US MTs, sm
Their benefit package is great.  They pay a very competitive line rate.  They get my vote.
You mean like TransHealth's phone test? sm
Yup (Transhealth's test).
TransHealth fits this category. nm

TransHealth has rad accounts with VPN connection. nm

Transtech/Transhealth/WebMEDX..(sm)

Does anyone know if any of these 3 companies use the Dictaphone ExText platform?  Thanks

I love TransHealth. There are many, many long term MTs...sm
with the company who are also very happy. Benefits are great. Good platform. It's acute care work, with ESLs, but that's the name of the game today.
TransHealth has pretty good insurance.
x
Any opinions? Spheris versus Transhealth
Any advice you have would be very much appreciated.  Thank you to all.
Charge him an hourly rate. The current rate is
between $15-21/hr. according to your location. If he had to use an independent secretarial service, he would be charged much more. You can look in the Yellow Pages in your area under Secretarial Service and ask them what they charge, then charge accordingly knowing you can back it up.
I currently work for Transhealth. I tihnk it is a good company.
:)
TransHealth has separate PTO, holidays and sick time. nm

At TransHealth, there are backlog updates every 15 minutes for the accounts we type. sm
We're always informed of where are accounts are standing (in ChartMatrix).  It's a nice feature.
ME rate 80% of baseline MT rate
are you happy with the 20% cut to do ME work or are you going to just do MT work (which will be those dictators that ASR can't do) at your baseline rate?
Cross off old rate, put in your new rate, (nt)

Employee rate/IC rate......
I work at home for a hospital account that I make .11 cpl on 60-character line. I also do IC work for a clinic where I make .14 cpl. I am from Missouri.
take a cent of their rate and a cent of your mom's rate. I'd do it to keep the account or the

You already charge a fairly low line rate, but I'd definitely cut it to keep the account.  JMO

RADIOLOGY

I used to type radiology in-house for patients in nursing homes.  After I typed the report, I would fax them to the nursing homes and they would put that report in the patient's chart.  Then I would send original report to doc to get signature.  After those are signed, they are mailed out to the nursing homes.  I am not really too sure why you are asking but hope this helps some.  The doc's never read my reports because they trusted me but I am sure they would want to before they put their signature on anything.

Radiology
I currently am typing radiology and have for 27 years. I also have to type in patient information but not in the manner you do. Yor are right, it is extremely time consuming the way you have to do it. You should have some kind of patient log or the information should already put in the template. No, you will not have a high line count in the manner you have to do it. Radiology reports, as you know, can be very short and the time it takes for you to get the information overrides the length of the report.
Radiology Pay.
I was just wondering what other rad MT's are earning out there - and are U paid by report or by line? Which method do U think is better?
Radiology
It is interesting although as mentioned already, it lends itself well to voice recognition (because it is very repetitive) and many of us are currently unemployed because of that technology. Wish I had your experience in today's workplace.
Go for Radiology...
It seems hard at first but after a while they say the same stuff over and over, and don't go into huge detail - many MT's who do it are paid per report (like me), so the bucks can really add up. I've been on the same account for 8 years, no secondary account, never run out of work and find it much more interesting than the usual discharge summaries, H & P's, etc...of course TAT is pretty short, which can be stressful, but overall I love it! At my company radiology accounts are considered the creme d'la creme (sp?) so we are treated with a tad more respect (since we have the cash cows)...try it, you'll like it!

I was called by a former client of an old job to work radiology again, but at home this time.  What is the going rate for radiology per hour and has anyone used RIS system?  Thanks in advance
Radiology...sm
$1.25 per rad report, and the report can be lengthy or a normal report pulled from a list.

Sadly, I just changed MT companies, and I'm only up to 30 reports per day. It's not the terminology or the program - it's because of the dictators! Their voices are are muffled (which may be due to their dictating equipment), they roll the viewer while dictating, bang films, and dictate over each other. I listen to them over and over, trying to hear the words! I've transcribed acute care, and over 15 years of radiology, but never had such a problem with hearing the dictator.

I have noticed too, that when I'm transcribing by myself, I get alot of normal reports pulled from the list. When there's others transcribing, I never get any normal reports at all - they're all really long. That could be one of my problems also.

There are no benefits, but I was told that they do withhold taxes.

I have read in the archives where some rad transcriptionists get paid between $2.00 and $3.00 per report, but I have never seen anywhere near that amount advertised.

Sorry if I got off topic a bit!
radiology job
I noticed on this board a few days ago that Keystrokes was hiring radiology MT. Good luck!
Do I do radiology?
Yes, and about everything except I am not very experienced with oncology, as we have a girl that does strictly that. Thanks
