Make sure you get a second opinion here if her insurance will cover it. I was diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and after 3 consults the DX was changed and that was 8 years ago, so don't be too upset just yet. Take it as it comes, slowly and without letting your mind rush ahead of you. I know it's a very scary thing, and in our profession we are apt to think the worst that will happen. Perhaps it's just inflammatory tissue that is suspicious. Take it slow, take a deep breath and baby steps at a time. Will be thinking of you, try to get some rest. If you listen to too many people, you will get confused and upset. All of us in this field know how scary it can be. Hang in and take it slow, wishing you the best.
