You would almost have to...

I agree that the BOS should certainly not change as much as it does. Frankly I think the book is very disorganized as it is. I think the only changes that should be made to any MT BOS are when the JCAHO makes a major change. Also, I would like to see some more note samples in there. When I was a newbie that book was useless for setting up a new report.
I agree that a lot of the last set of changes were not needed. I DEFINITELY agree with the numbers thing. In the CMT Review Guide, they have all that notes with just numerals. Their excuse was easier readability....I don't think so. Your attention is drawn to the numbers and little else. When it comes down to it, the client wants what they want. I think a book should focus on the bottom standard and then have a nice list of websites on where to find things listed in the back of the book with a reference for additional lists on the web! That would be useful. Writinga book would take some serious time and a lot of contributing from MTs, but we certainly would not be short of opinions in that area.
Again, I think another organization is a great idea. I bet if we came up with a chat time about this, seriously, we might actually get somwhere with it. No harsh words. Just a chance to see what other MTs would like to see and go from there with what is immediately doable and plan for those that are not. Give ALL MTs a vote and not just a few at the top of the foodchain.
