They offered a job. They are not producing the goods. They don't return phone calls and they don't have any policy manuals for employees or contractors.
There is no other way to ask the question. They brought us to this place through their misrepresentation of facts. The fact is they offered work. So why shouldn't they be looked at for unethical work practices? I was looking for a job, they offered one. It's not my responsibility now to go look for another job. They need to reply as to why there is no work.
Questions like this should be taken up with your supervisor instead of a public forum. sm

as soon as I can. I am doing something in the beauty field, and it cost me $29 to start up. I got a $500 check in January, and I just started in December, so I am not to that point yet. I loved MT, but I am sick of working my butt off for $14-$20 an hour. If anyone wants to know more, just email me. But in the time of companies offshoring and offering 7 cents a line and voice recognition... That combined with my working so many hours... I don't feel as positive as I once did about MT, and my results with my other business are coming along enough that I will hopefully leave MT within six months.

I really dislike the company. Years and years ago I worked for a small local MTSO. I wanted to work at home and she wouldn't let me so I quit. I did tell her I would work PT at home only if she needed help and I knew she needed the help, but she was ticked at me and wouldn't give me any work. About 2 months later she called me practically begging me to work for her, and I did.
I have applied to a company and been offered a position but turned it down and then have gone back later and applied again, but I haven't actually worked for a company and then asked to go back.
It is frequently recommended here to not quit one job before you have time to test the waters on the other, just in case.
I would reapply or call them. The worst they can do is say no.

You not only posted on this forum, but another forum asking for
advice, not once, but at least twice, panic stricken. If you didn't want the advice you shouldn't have asked and you surely shouldn't have come back her bashing people for their advice. We are not medical professionals. It could have just as easily been something serious and because of the lack of $$ you didn't go to the ER and you'd be singing a different song today.

My doctor, I would hope, is a professional and I would not appreciate him talking about me or my body while he is on the phone dictating. Number one he was wrong in doing that and number two, the person who posted the information here was wrong. We are making light of a woman's dilemma about her body. I find it most distasteful and most likely breaking the rules of the hospital where he was dictating from.

I posted a post below saying I thought trade schools were underrated and were a very viable alternative to a college degree. A poster responded by writing that people who feel that way aren't college material.
Dano objected to the rudeness of that poster, and now everyone is ganging up on her simply because she thinks people should be treated nicely and with respect.

We're just having a fun day. Are we allowed? I've also noticed that many of the questions that have no answers posted are the ones that have already been asked and answered ad nauseum. Check archives. People get tired of repeating the same things over and over.

To the OP, with the job market being what it is, MTSOs are inundated with resumes when they advertise. Keep at it and if you find a company that you really think sounds like a good fit, keep pinging them with e mail, call them if you can get a phone number, and be really aggressive. The squeaky wheel that stands out is what is going to get their attention.

I once worked a summer holiday shift by myself and transcribed something so awful that I tear up when I think about it today. It was the death of a 3-year-old, and I got ALL the 5 dictations regarding the course of this little girl. Give me the "vanity" surgeries on holidays anytime. It is not up to us to make a judgement about who "deserves" treatment, it's just our job to transcribe it correctly. The work you transcribed may have been boring, but that lets your mind drift to loving thoughts about your own family and how you will all be together soon. Like the above poster says, turn your mind to loving thoughts, even for the patient you have prejudged, your heart rate will lower and believe it or not, the day will pass more quickly.

Public TV is getting to be just as bad as cable.
Good old evening family sitcoms are just smut and garbage. We have a Netflix membership, so I fill up the queue with kids or family movies that I've researched and approved. The kids have been watching those all summer when they feel the need to watch TV at all.
