connect your 2nd computer into your router. I have mine done that way, and there's no problem at all. I told the salesman at Office Depot what I was doing, and he got me the cord and told me how to do it.

Ethernet card
If your connection to the internet is through a cable connection, then you have an Ethernet card. If it is dial up, you may not have one. Look at the back of your PC, and if you have a plug for a cable connection (it is slightly bigger than a phone plug), then you have an ethernet card. Hope this helps. You can also go into MY Computer and check there too.
I have SBC DSL and I use the yellow Ethernet cable.
I'm not much on techie stuff.
Stupid question. How do you know if you have Ethernet card? (nm)
.
Just bought this computer so you never know if it is the ethernet card or mother board or Comcast.
I had this on another computer and it was the modem that time.
cord
go online, just put in whatever cord, see what comes up, also, ebay, they have just about anything and everything.
put the cord under the keyboard
I run my headphone cord from the computer, under the keyboard, under my wrist mat, and right up in front of me. It is totally out of the way. Maybe you can try that til you can get the wireless ones.
cord of wood, not cords.

I have a cat who has chewed through my foot pedal cord, and I had to go to the store and buy a cored protector to put over the original cord. I have black electrical tape on most of all my other computer-related cords. Finally, I purchased some stuff at the pet store called Indoor Bitter End. I cut the power to everything and carefully sprayed it on all my cords, obviously avoiding exposed wires, plugs, and outlets. I can say that she hasn't chewed on any of them since I sprayed them! I type in the basement and know that sometimes it's impossible to confine a cat or kitten and since they have a short attention span are not easily trainable. Maybe this will help.
Wow .. $149!! It says it was created for ipod users -- is the cord sm
long enough to go to your computer, or did you have to get some kind of extension device? They sound great ... just not sure if cheap ol' me is ready for fork out that kinda cash.

There can also be placental and cord abnormalities that impact things sm
I have transcribed a 2-vessel cord, though they should be 3 vessels. I have had velamentous cord where the Wharton's jelly didn't cover the cord structures up near the placenta which can be dangerous to the baby if the placenta is located in certain places. If it doesn't come on its own, it may be retained placenta (treated with D&C) or accreta meaning it has grown into the myometrium, necessitating a hysterectomy and fast so that the mother lives. You also have true knots in cords (my younger son had one) and you won't see that until the placenta is delivered.
There are 3 stages of childbirth. They are laboring, then active, which is pushing and then delivery of the placenta.
Not a silly question by any means. The placenta doesn't matter to most of us who have had kids, it is the only throw-away organ in humans. It is, however, important to the doctor.
2-vessel cord is typically associated with heart defects. sm
The above poster gave excellent explaination. The placenta has to be inspected and found to be intact or pieces of it could have broken off before delivery, which would lead to further hemorrhage of mom eventually. There is a lot of information the placenta can tell you.
Does anyone know other than Radio Shack were you can purchase the recorder control cord -sm

I had a lot of trouble with static in my C-phone. I replaced the phone cord and that made a big
difference. Also, have you tried a different headset? Also someone told me one time that there is a microphone under your volume control on the right corner of the C-phone. It's a tiny hole. If you break off a Q-tip and stick that into the hole that will squelch a lot of background noise and that worked as well. As far as getting your C-phone service, I heard that Dictaphone is "sunsetting" C-phones at the end of this year. Meaning, they aren't going to service them anymore as they are considered an obsolete technology. So, I would contact Dictaphone and see what your options are.
I know very little about Lanier equipment. I've not used it as extensively as Dictaphone. Is there a local appliance repair place in your area? You might ask one of those places to take a look at your equipment and see what they think. Kinda scary, cause they could do more harm than good, but maybe worth a shot.
Not much help, I know. But I thought I would share what tiny bit of obscure knowledge I do have.
You plug it into an outlet, plug in the phone cord, hook up the
footpedal and the headset and it works.
