I loved your post. It was so appropriate. By the way, you forgot to add that when an English speaking doctor is horrid it is faster easier to just blank it, get a sample of his or her "usual garbage speak" and learn it than it is for ESL who you sit there and listen and listen and listen, thinking it must be you. I always let my English speakers who are "sloppy" know that this may affect their transcripts and they are most always sorry, tell me they busy and talk too fast, and swear to do better. Sometimes they actually do. Usually they just make sure I am provided samples of their "normals" etc. and I eventually learn them.
