that used to go by my house. We would run out with nickels and buy cones. And yes, I do remember Mickey Mouse ice cream bars. Yum.
How soft is the touch, is it a muffled sound (microsoft used to make a very soft touch keyboard.
You can't buy it anymore and I hate the clacky ones. I think a really soft one sounds muffled when you hit the key. Thanks
Whoops...I forgot - cranberry sauce, too. My husband would kill me if I forgot the cranberry sauce!

what'd you serve with it?
mashed potatos, pasta, rice? All of the above! I'm a carb freak, can you tell. I personally appreciate any good, quick and easy recipes.  It's like I never have time to "cook" anymore! I mean really cook, like mama used to!  excuse me, I'm gettin' all choked up! LOL
This is one I serve sometimes
Skillet-browned chicken breasts; chilled pasta salad; mashed sweet potatoes.

Make your pasta salad first and let it get good and cold before serving. Boil a bag of tricolor rotini and drain, immediately immerse in cold water. I add a drained can of LeSeur baby peas, a drained can of LeSeur baby carrots, sometimes a drained can of niblet corn, and any other tender veggies you want. Toss with about 1 to 1-1/2 cups of either low-fat Italian or Ranch dressing, depending on the taste you want. Chill until dinner.

Chicken: Heat 1 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil. Rinse and pat dry your boneless skinless chicken breasts and simply rub with salt and pepper -- gently brown in the olive oil.

Mashed sweet potatoes: Peel and cut into chunks 2-3 good-size sweet potatoes. Boil until tender and drain. Mash with salt, pepper, and a dash of milk.

Does it serve your financial needs?
The main criteria for any job wage would be whether you think it is a fair trade for your skills and will it provide what you need it to financially.

I personally would not work for $15 an hour. However, your needs may be different from mine. I also have other options. You may not.

It is a very subjective question and one that only you can really answer.

That is a noble thing, I believe . To serve for
I started in the early 80s and worked my way through college, and decided to keep with it rather than go for my intended job in the liberal arts. I have never been sorry. I have always been inspired. From steno pad to manual typewriter, and rolling fax machines. From white out to voice editing, I still believe it to be a noble profession. Good for you!

Anybody have a good chili recipe
out there that is fast and easy?
my favorite chili recipe
Go to the grocery store

Buy a can of Wolf Brand chili

Go home, open the can

Put contents in a pan

Warm it on the stove

put warmed chili in bowl and gobble away LOL
I use the chili seasoning packets.
Brown some ground beef. Add any veggies you want like hot or green peppers, garlic or onions. Add a can of kidney beans, a can of tomato sauce (or stewed tomatoes), and the seasoning packet.
And I want the white chili recipe!

Thanks for saying that. Since MQ has spread out
I don't get those notes from my QA personnel anymore, so I never get the feedback I used to.  There were a couple who patted me on the back for struggling through some of these awful dictators and it made me feel my efforts were worth it!  Thanks for the post
We put on the spread....sm

Ham, chicken pastry, chicken salad, deviled eggs, collards, sweet potato crunch, cabbage, corn, butterbeans, peas, homemade buiscuits, cornbread, and lots of dessert.

Then the kids have a big Easter egg hunt!

spread the love
For some reason I tape it everyday even though I agree there is too much swapping around. Or either somebody is coming back from the dead. Ever notice how Y&R and B&B story lines are so much alike? I agree about the Jack/Phyllis/Brad/Victoria stuff. The weirdest part to me is how Abby is Victoria's half sister/soon to be stepmom. Ick double ick.
HOW do we spread the word?
It's like a slap in the face to American transcriptionists. The fact that American doctors don't even know it's going on....how can that be? How do we get the word out? We need to do something, but what? Do we start at home by talking to our own family doctor? Do we write our congressman? Can they do anything?
Or Oprah! That would spread everywhere!
:)
Spread the word
What I've been doing for quite some time is telling everyone I talk with, and I mean everyone, about the possibility of their personal information/medical records going overseas.  Most often, they have absolutely no idea this is even possible.  We the patients pay the deductibles and the insurance premiums, we have every right to voice to our physician/medical facility that we absolutely DO NOT want our records leaving the USA.  You could even ask that the statement be included in your medical record for written documentation.  If the physicians/facilities hear it enough from enough people, maybe they'll realize what a big deal this really is to us as American citizens.  It may not stop offshoring completely, but it could certainly slow it down.
Why spread the word?..

Well, I kind of liked the OPs thing kept a secret.  Now get ready down the road for more people hopping on the OPs bandwagon and there will be less to go around. Some things are just left better unsaid....especially publicly.

Leftover chili, mango soda and coffe.

It might be nice if you spread that message
through a memorial fund through the school.

Unfortunately, we are in a society that stopped recognizing the value of teachers and how they can impact our lives.

Special, talented, gifted teachers are hard to find and should be memorialized.

Sadly, while you are not wanting to spread the name...

...Some other unsuspecting MT is signing a contract with these folks.

Believe me, I felt the SAME exact way as you back when I was fooled by D&L.  I gave them the benefit of the doubt for over a month, and actually believed payment would be sent to me.  I didn't talk badly about them, well not until PA Dept of Labor decided there was nothing they could do for me as an IC.  Here it is, 1 year later, and I still haven't been paid...either have 20+ others who were all just suddenly *let go.*

The only loyalty you should ever have in this business is to yourself, your pocket and to a fellow struggling MT.  Don't be scared to let others know the name of a company to avoid.

Good luck dealing with PA courts/magistrates/Dept of Labor, etc.  I hope you get your pay.

Sauce to Go??
Would be happy to send you some. Did find something in the store the other day that might be of interest Kool-Aid invisible. It has no dyes in it so it's clear. They had 2 flavors in our store. Don't give my daughter the stuff on a regular basis but since you brought it up.

So you crochet too?? I'm old enough to be a grandma but got a late start...
hey, lay off the sauce, bub.

Just joshing you, Ash.

Not to be an alarmist, but did you know they can spread down her throat and into her lungs? You know
how we all here of the weird few who almost die from chickenpox? That's my family.  We have horrible illnesses when we've had chickenpox. Especially once in the oral cavity, I would NOT mess with it and I'd get my kids to the doctor immediately.  I barely remember it, but my airway was compromised, etc, and I ended up in the hospital.  Not to mention how much those sores hurt.  You need to give him/her some viscous Lidocaine or something from the doctor. Please go for medical help!
Then USA Today spread lies and you know the truth.

Don't use cream of,,,,,,,
Instead of creamy mushroom soup, try the Golden Mushroom soup.  I think that is what it is called.  It is the dark mushroom soup.  Gives a sauce with more depth and flavor.  Anymore, I never use the cream of,,,,, alway use the goldren.
cream
I would recommend Oil of Olay. My mom uses it and it has done wonders for her skin. She uses the serum and night cream.
I'll pay shipping for some of that sauce! :)

I don't know how you find the time. Of course, then again, I've been back and forth on here when I should be finishing crocheting my new grandson's baby blanket.

Little guy had to arrive a month early when I only had 5 rows done. If I had done 5 more rows, we could wrap the munchkin up in it now. :)

avocado sauce receipe.....sm

1 tbsp. oil
1/4 sm. onion
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 ripe avocado
1 tbsp. fresh chopped parsley
1 tbsp. lemon juice
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Heat the oil in a small pan and lightly fry the onion and garlic until soft. Scoop out flesh and mash well. Stir into the onion mixture and add the chopped parsley and lemon juice and season to taste. Heat the sauce, adding a little water if too thick. Serve the sauce hot with the fish, garnished with parsley and avocado slices

However, I use more than 1 avocado......*S*

a 2nd avocado sauce receipe I also use....sm

1 (14 1/2-ounce) can chicken broth
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
2 tablespoons lemon juice
4 avocados, peeled and mashed
1 cup light sour cream
1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper

Bring first 3 ingredients to a boil in a small saucepan; cook until reduced to 3/4 cup. Cool slightly. Process broth mixture, avocado, and next 4 ingredients in a blender until smooth.  Makes about 4 cups.

Some jar sauce is as good as homemade...
I make my own sauce usually, but when I'm not in the mood there are some that surprisingly are just as good as homemade. They are the more expensive ones, Rao's, Victoria, Patsy's, Vincent's. Jar sauce has come a long way! But the less expensive like Prego, Ragu, and even Classico etc., I find are just too sweet. Easy recipe..A couple of jars of Victoria or other better-brand Fra Diavolo sauce. Cook on stove in medium pot on medium heat until hot but not boiling. Throw in a bunch of medium or large size RAW peeled shrimp with tails removed! (I often use the raw frozen in the bag - thawed) and continue cooking/stirring until shrimp turns orange and appears done. Spoon over pasta and top with S&P if you like and lots of grated romano/parmesan cheese. Squisito!

progesterone cream!!!!!!
;
I liked the progesterone cream, only
read a warning California--(by the way, why do they get to have more warning labels than anywhere else--just noticed that) where they listed something in progesterone creams that is a carcinogen, but please check that out. I was using it and stopped because of that, but I thought the cream was working great on all my symptoms.

then I switched to the wild yam, which you can buy at any health food store, and it works a little differently. you can find all the info on the net (way too long here, sorry).

I hardly have hot/cold flashes anymore. I use a combination of taking 1 Vitex (chasteberry) and 1 to 2 evening oil of primrose each day. was also taking Don Quai, but stopped for a break because it is recommended.

something to keep in mind as well I read the hot/cold flashes and nightsweats are USUSALLY temporary, like mostly just in the beginning and will most likely go away, or at least diminish.

Suzanne Somers has some great info on this, if you purchase her book, which is probably a good investment as she has thoroughly investigated the subject. She is almost 60, and claims even to get a regular period. even tells you how you can lose weight. she is amazing, only I just do not have the kind of money for her products. I listen and get bits of information, then have to put together things I can afford, haha.

do you have people you can ask at the health food store you go to?

I am NOT sure how this all works with having had a TAH/BSO.

wish you the best...
