You can do it!

I transitioned from ER to acute care while home. There was no internet connection then, and I remember being surrounded by stacks of books and throwing my earphones many days with tears. But I stuck it out and now I hardly open a book and love Google! I did not start with op notes though. Maybe that is an option - phasing them in later. I started with H&Ps, consults, discharges, and that was challenging enough. I added op notes about a year and a half later. Maybe you can ask them to do that for you - maybe delay op notes for several months. Another option, if they can do the routing, is to only give you op notes for a certain number of hours a day, so you are not overwhelmed in the beginning. Talk to your supervisor and maybe they can work something out. Best wishes.
