You both brought up very good points on this subject. I also will only put up with so much before saying something. I do what I get, but when it becomes obvious I am being taken advantage of, I have no problem speaking up. Anytime I have, things got better for awhile. Eventually, it was back to the same ole though.
The supes can go in and see who is doing what, so I don't understand why people aren't called on this. I had one supe/trainer tell me that he knew it was happening with a girl, he confronted her, she said, "why should she bother when someone else could understand him and she could get three reports done to his one." He in turn said that she had a good point and pretty much left it at that concerning her, but in the same breath said "you girls don't do that though." This was in a training session he made these comments with a dozen trainees listening in. It's no wonder it happens!
