The East Coast is a big place.
The going line rate in NYC or Boston would probably not fly in SC or FL. Your best bet is to call around to some clinics in your area and see what they're paying. Also, I would bill by character line, not report. JMO
I'm in East Central Indiana and
have Comcast. When we first had it, it was down all the time. It turned out to be a faulty modem, which they had supplied. Once they changed that out, they have been incredibly reliable. It is very, very rare that they are down, and if they are it is usually less than an hour.

When I go back East to visit relatives
I am shocked that some things are a lot cheaper and briefly consider a move, but I adore the weather here. I also don't get why they send all the good veggies/fruits back there and we get left with the icky ones (unless you go to a farmer's market - which is what I try to do). Maybe the good ones survive the trip better and they figure we can deal with the shopworn ones locally.

I tested at a local hospital on the East Coast...
The pay was $14.82 per hour to start. They were paying medical unit secretaries $14.60. Also the job was per diem, needless to say I didn't take it.

Love Colorado to live, but really miss the culture and the food on the East Coast. I stop at a simple diner on the PA Turnpike in New Stanton, and a cheeseburger and cole slaw is better than any dinner I could get in Colorado to me.

teh Middle East, also called Minor Asia, and the Arab countries in Northern Africa, like Egypt, Morocco, Libya, Tunesia, Algeria etc.....

Instead of 'oriental' one can say 'from the Orient.' also for persons. But one can say 'oriental', nothing wrong with that.

Airport greeting gift for hubby returning from the Middle East?
He has been gone for a year, working as a contractor. What type of gift might a man like at our airport greeting (besides me)? He is getting back in the evening, so I have really nice breakfast planned for the next day, but am wondering if he might like something special at the airport? Do you get men flowers, balloons, what? We have been married 23 years, but I am finding myself really nervous about this! You all have the best ideas, so please pass them on! 
looking for part-time Emdat work, preferably with clients in the East Coast
I have been making an average of 10,000 lines per pay period (bimonthly), on QA-optional status, but my accounts are based in the West Coast while I am in the East Coast. I usually work from afternoon to night to reach my daily goal of at least 1000 lines, which is not good for my family.
I would like to find part-time work to keep me busy in the mornings instead of nights. I prefer clinic accounts, ESLs or American dictators. I am willing to take a test anytime especially in the mornings EST.

I know exactly what you are talking about.
There are a lot of people like you are talking about living in trailer parks. However, there are trailer parks around where I live that are nothing like what you are talking about. My point is that you should not lump everyone who lives in low-income housing together and label them as trash. A lot of people who live in these nice neighborhoods with all their wealth, got that wealth dishonestly. They may not be underachievers, but these people are criminals, no matter where they live. They may be your neighbor. It would be the same thing if everyone thought if you were wealthy, then you had to be a crook in order to get that way. The way things are going there are going to be a lot more poor people in this country, maybe even you. I certainly do not wish you any misfortune, but you may not always be able to afford to live in those nice neighborhoods with the high property values. We can argue all day about it and not get any further. The fact remains that there are stigmas regarding all kinds of things. Even if it is partly based on facts, it still boils down to prejudice.

For your information, I had already submitted my test. I was not "cheating" as you put it. I didn't know what the word was and could not find it through my own research so I asked. I am SURE that asking for assistance AFTER the test had already been submitted is NOT cheating, but trying to actually LEARN what the word was that I DID NOT UNDERSTAND. If I had thought for a second that I needed to clarify to YOU the reasoning behind my request I most certainly would have asked you for permission first. My goodness.

that is how I feel when I get up from working. I am always moaning about my knees, my wrists, my forearms, my sciatic nerve, back, neck, on and on. I am 33 and feel like I am falling apart and I know it is because of my posture.

Why would you assume that I have some sinister reason for this request. It was a simple request for people who might be interested. I posted my real name and my real email address. I am just another MT trying to help someone out with a class they are taking. You have a problem.
