I have lived rurally all of my life. I have worked both city and rural, and even with transcription companies, sadly everyone wants to pay the rural guy less. In the city, you have more options to where in a rural area you only have minimum wage. Sad, but very true...at least in our area. I know a lot of people here in my area collecting SS benefits and working. Go for it, Doxie, and if you need any help in any way..contact me.
